We left the fast-paced energy of New York City in search of a peaceful country retreat, and we found the perfect spot in Easton, Connecticut. This stunning property, with over six acres of beautifully manicured lawns, tree-lined driveway, and a serene Koi Pond, immediately felt like the ideal setting for a Dog Hotel and Country Retreat. Our family includes three incredibly friendly dogs—two Golden Doodles, Saylor and Gatsby, and a Golden Retriever named Brady, who is a rescue. The Barkley Hotel is named in honor of our beloved Golden Retriever, Barkley, who passed away far too soon. We know he would have adored exploring this vast, tranquil space. We promise to take the very best care of your fur babies, they will be welcomed into our family home and be treated as one of our own. They may not wish to leave us!

Bedtime is super important for your fur baby. After a bedtime story they will curl up in one of our warm and dog cozy beds, either in our common space or, privately if they'd prefer. Why not bring their favorite toy or special blanket so they can feel even more at home during their stay.

While your fur baby is enjoying their stay, you can also book them an appointment at the Barkley Dog Spa for grooming. Our grooming team is here to pamper your pup and ensure they return to you looking and feeling fabulous. Please ensure to schedule in advance as we book out fast.

We have over SIX park-like acres of grassland surrounded by a fieldstone wall. Your fur baby can run and play to their hearts content. They can also participate in our daily exercise activities which are led by our dedicated on-site staff. They'll sleep well after a great outdoor workout!
